Selecting image in the Deploy Image and Restore BackUp Image tasks is not working well when you have a large amount of images to select from. The dropdownbox is not very useful when you must select amongst many images so the best option is to use the Browse feature. However the Backup Image List that is been shown using the Browse is lacking some vital information. The following changes would improve this view a lot.
- Make the Select a Backup Disk Image frame bigger initially, as it have a lot of data and by default it's very small and always needs to be expanded
- Add the Date Taken field to the Backup Image List, showing the date of when the image was taken. This makes it easier to find images by sorting/fitering on dates.
- Add the Source Computer Name to the Backup Image List, showing the source computer name of the computer the image was taken from initally.
- Add the OS to the Backup Image List, this should show the exact OS and not just linux, but RedHat Enterprise 6.5 or 5.6, Windows 2008 Enterprise Standard Edition, or Windows 2008 Enterprise R2, and so on.
