Having a weird issue where NS keep recreating a computer asset over and over again. We have duplicate computer merge rule (merge base on serial number) in place which resolve the duplicate computer asset, however it doesn't resolve the root cause why NS keep recreating this asset.
Here's are the scenario,
End user take the laptop home, connect vpn, (a new asset get generated)
End user bring laptop back to work connect LAN (a new asset get generated)
-rinse and repeat
From the ResourceKeyChange table, there's multiple uniqueid, guessing that's from multiple Nic. Howerver the Name.Domain, and FQDN always the same.
Can't figure out why everytime a change in work, and home network will let NS to believe that this is a different asset. And hence a new record is created with a different machine GUID but everything else seem to be the same.
Appreciate any input and ideas.
